~ NEWS RELSITED ~
MoparMarket.com Readers,
Here we are again ! Another year is drawing to a close and with the passing of 2007 comes the prospect of opportunity in 2008. We here at MoparMarket.com have had the pleasure of providing Mopar enthusiasts with another year of community classifieds and appreciate the continued support of it's members & readers. Like most popular websites, we have had our share of trials and tribulations this year, some of which included a period when our humble forum website was the victim of a malicious attack. A big thanks goes out to our Forum moderator Nik (EfiPacer) for keeping downtime to a minimum and for his continued participation is assisting with the moderation and administration of our forum. He is a busy man and apart from the thank you's I provide him, he provides his time without monetary gain. Thank you Nik !
A thank you goes out to yet another long-standing MoparMarket.com supporter Byron (Git), he was instrumental in both the construction and design of MoparMarket.com V3.0. Although this latest release is well over 12 months young now, I cannot describe the freedom this new version has provided me. When I cast my mind back to the early days of MoparMarket.com, I think of the countless hours/weeks/months/years I spent nurturing the websites. Manual updates nightly were the order of the day, with post 12.00am a nightly occurance. Back then, all classifieds & images were emailed to me personally, screened, updated and sent live manually. It was a painstaking time, luckily for me I have an understanding wife that knows my obsessive nature ( I can't be told I can't !).
I sat with Ray Snr the other day with a client, chatting about the inception of MoparMarket.com and the strides it has made in an effort to make the sourcing of Mopar parts & vehicles more accessible in Australia. The customer, a long-time reader was extending his thanks to us for the services the website provides. He was discussing how his son is now involved with the hobby and loves his Mopars, surfing MoparMarket.com in his spare time. This small acknowledgment was enough to make me feel proud to be involved, it was a nice gesture... thank you Tom.
Lastly, I would like to extend my thanks to all those who supported, read, participated and overall enjoys MoparMarket.com, I appreciate & understand the obsession you have with these Mopar motor cars, I really do. Please take care over the silly season, be careful on the roads and enjoy the festivities responsibly. I look forward to your MoparMarket.com visits in 2008 !
